We are here to help equip Christians to Be Informed, Go Vote and Get Involved. This is a NON-PARTISAN Bible based ministry. We make every attempt to provide accurate information for each major candidate or ballot issue during election years. We are frequently updating this site and hope to offer you the best tools possible. Please leave as many comments to as many posts. Your prayer, your communication and your involvement is vital to the success of our mission.

In addition to the top three columns you will find additional information and calendar when you scroll to the bottom.

You will find current posts in the top left-hand column. However, all of our posts can be found in the "Blog Archive" located under the current posts listed. Don't hesitate to comment on any post as we are notified when a comment is made no matter how old the post.

Abiding by IRS guidelines

What are the guidelines for what a pastor can say from the pulpit about state and federal elections?

As the representative of the church, a pastor can't endorse or oppose a particular candidate without violating current IRS guidelines. But as a pastor, you certainly can talk about the issues. You can speak to any topics that are at issue in a particular campaign, without naming candidates.

Churches can allow distribution of neutral, non-partisan voter guides. You can also encourage your congregation to exercise their constitutional privilege to vote.

The pastor as an individual in a conversation is not prohibited from naming the particular candidate that he is voting for. He has that constitutional right, just like any other US citizen.

100% "Voting Politics" - Regularly voting in elections.

25% "Campaign Politics" - Volunteering for campaigns (i.e. helping in campaign offices, making phone calls at a telephone bank, passing out literature, donating to a campaign, etc.)

10% "Party Politics" - Volunteers who accept the responsibility of working in the party of their choice (i.e. precinct committeemen, officers in county, state or local party organizations, etc.). These members become an invaluable source of information about candidates and issues. Some may even become elected officials at the local, state or federal level.

Ministry Teams

PRAYER TEAM
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: praying for God's guidance, our church, our leaders and our country.

ISSUES TEAM
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: compiling information on current events and issues, the positions of candidates and current leaders on those issues and their voting records.

VOTING TEAM
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: conducting voter registration drives, helping with absentee ballot applications, helping people find their polling places and any other voting related questions.

DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing and executing the promotion of this ministry within the church, outreach outside our church, and recording progress towards our church involvement goals.
